Stand Up Paddle Vouga River

Description

The Ribeiradio reservoir is located in the middle Vouga, approximately 85 km from the source, about 3 km from Sever do Vouga, between the towns of Ribeiradio and Couto de Esteves. The wall is 76 meters high and creates an albufeira with 136 cubic hectometres at the height of 110 meters. It extends for about 14 km of the river Vouga, between the bridge of the Cunhedo and the dam of Ribeiradio, passing through very inlaid valleys that provide a fabulous landscape. The river Vouga is born in the mountain range of Lapa, at about 955 meters of altitude and flows into the Aveiro estuary, after a course of approximately 130 km. This lake is ideal for water sports, such as kayak or stand up paddle, constituting a new element of tourist attraction in the region.
